Months ago, I was asked to review some of Bee Naturals products. The products were sent to me right after the birth of my baby. I was ecstatic, because I have actually heard of these
products from a friend of mine who is a total natural living, vegan, herbs and juicing type of chick; and she swore by them. However, due to the new arrival in my family, the chaos that is my life, poor time management, selfishness (more on that later) and pure laziness, I haven't gotten around to it until now. Don't judge me. Anyway... If you are not familiar with Bee Naturals here is the back story from their website http://beenaturals.com: As a nurse, Barbara Chappuis developed Bee Naturals™ Skin Creme Bars to protect her own hands from the myriad of harmful substances in the hospital work environment. Her hands were cracked, raw, and nearly bleeding, even with constant use of virtually every commercially available creme and lotion. After much research and formulation with natural ingredients, and proof with her own hands healing, her Skin Creme Bar reached its final form. In my goodie box, I was sent 2 lipsticks-in Cherry and Raisin; Baby Balm, Skin Creme Stick, Ultimate Foot Creme, and Miracle Skin Creme. Before I even get started with the review, I do want to say my intention was to give away most of the stuff, for you, my dear readers...HOWEVER, Bee Naturals products are soooooo good, my selfishness took over and I had to have most of the products. I am sorry...what do you want me to do?!
First off, my new favorite lipstick is Bee Naturals Luxury Lipstick with Vitamins in Raisin. It is nourishing , the Luxury Lipsticks are enriched in vitamin A and E (I have this weird LL Cool J thing going with the licking of the lips, so my lips get chapped a lot) and the color pretty much stays with a few touch ups here and there. My new addiction is red lipstick and the Cherry works perfectly. Next up is the Baby Balm. LOVE. IT. (Chloe loves it too) The Bee Naturals Baby Balm is lightly scented with lavender and sweet orange essential oils. I have used this balm religiously, and despite Chloe's sensitive skin she has had no diaper rash nor irritation on her bum. As an added bonus my hands feel marvelous after I apply the balm! Lastly, is the Skin Creme Stick. It comes in a deodorant shaped bottle and you glide it over any area that is particularly dry or chapped. With ingredients like olive oil and coconut oil, you immediately feel the moisture. It is especially good for dry, cracked heels. It rolls on well and it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. I apply it as soon as I get out of the shower and my skin stays moisturized all day. I am absolutely in love with Bee Naturals products. Matter of fact, I, unfortunately, left my favorite Luxury Lipstick in Raisin in my car on a 100 degree day...so I am going to stock up on my Luxury Lipstick as soon as I finish this post. That's how much I love it.

So...I busted my @$$ recently. If you are not familiar with my vernacular, it means, I fell. Fell hard. I was at my house, with my son and daughter and slipped on my hardwood floor. To make matters worse, I did not fall on my derrière, I face planted. My knees actually took the brunt of it, but it did knock the wind out of me. As I laid on the floor, I seriously had a moment. "I've fallen and I can't get up", medical bracelets, growing old and the meaning of life honestly flashed across my mind. While, it was absolutely hilarious I busted my derrière, it was extremely painful. But as most mothers know, there is no time for pain. So I got up and continued to do my motherly and wifely duties. However, my knees were throbbing.
Now let me tell you, I am a bather; salt baths, sitz baths, hot baths, steam baths, herbal baths, mineral baths, milk baths, clay and mud baths...you name it, I've tried it. So I was expecting a normal bath time experience but Bath Path far exceeded my expectations. First of all, there is real lavender essential oil in this bath salt. While this may not seem like a big deal to the uninformed, a lot of skin care companies use lavender fragrance oil. BIG DIFFERENCE! In laymans terms, fragrance oil is just an oil that captures the fragrance and nine times out of ten it is made with some pretty undesirable chemicals. Essential oil is actually the flower or leaf's naturally expressed oil. When you smell the bath salt, you will immediately notice the difference. So, I put my cup of salt in the running bath water and got right in. Immediately, I felt luxurious. Salt baths have the ability to pull toxins out of your body, which is great; however, it can also severely dry your skin out. Bath Path however puts vitamin e oil in their product and you can feel the moisture. I literally soaked in the tub until the water got cold and my hands and feet got pruney. When I finally managed to exit the tub, I felt relaxed (sleepy) and lo and behold, my knees weren't aching anymore! My skin was soft and supple and I felt marvelous. As an added bonus...the lavender scent even put Chloe to sleep.
You mothers know you can't take a long bath without the kids around.
So out of 10 stars, I give it a 10. It definitely got the job done and all of the ingredients are natural. Furthermore, it put the baby to sleep while I bathed!
